Dear Mr. Accime,

Please review this bulk submission of a request for 63 bike racks in the district of Brooklyn Community Board 8.
Volunteers in the community have verified that each location meets DOT’s specification for installing a bike rack and,
in most locations, we have provided specific letters of request from local businesses and residents, as well as broader
letters of support from neighborhood associations. You can also review the package on the web with a map and photos at
http://bit.ly/crown-package.

Bike parking options in CB8 could also be substantially improved in a cost effective manner with the conversion of
obsolete parking meters to bike racks where parking meters are being converted to Muni.

As you know cycling for transportation is growing in NYC and there is a great demand for infrastructure, including
bicycle parking. We have identified areas both of need, and suitability, in hopes this will encourage and assist the
DOT to install the much needed racks in CB8.

Sincerely,

Chris McNally
